The faculty, staff, and students collaborated to host numerous workshops, coding clubs, and programs, attracting participants from local schools and communities. Additionally, partnerships with local nonprofits provided students with mentorship opportunities and hands-on experience in cutting-edge research. Penn Engineering Welcomes AEOP High School Interns and Mentors!
Welcome to the University of Pennsylvania AEOP High School Interns! We are thrilled to have these talented students join us for an exciting 7-week journey of research and discovery. Throughout the summer, they will work alongside our dedicated graduate researchers, gaining hands-on experience in authentic projects. UNITE-Summer Mentorship Program
The Unite Summer Mentorship Program (SMP) in Robotics is a collaborative effort between Penn’s Vice Provost Office for Student Engagement Office, GRASP Lab, BE Labs, and is sponsored by the Army Education Outreach Program. Ninth grade (rising 10th grade) and 10th grade (rising 11th grade) students participate in a four-week engineering course. Activities include programming lessons, engineering design lessons, engineering projects, robotics competition, career day involving industry speakers, field trips to engineering facilities, and tours of GRASP and BE Labs. Penn Engineering and Heights Blended Learning Initiative Kicks Off!
Welcome to Penn Engineering! We are excited to host 127 Philadelphia high school students for our Blended Learning Computer Science Academy in partnership with Heights Philadelphia. This year, students can choose from three tracks: Intro to Java, Intermediate Java, and Intro to Java with Math Support. We are proud to provide this valuable opportunity for our local students. What is Inveniam Outreach?
Inveniam comes from an inscription on the Penn Class of 1893 Gate, ‘Inveniemus viam aut faciemus,’ which means, ‘We will find a way or make one’. Our outreach programs provide socioeconomically underserved and underrepresented students with access to foundational science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) resources. Inveniam aims to create equitable and innovative pathways to Penn Engineering and into the technology careers that will define the 21st century.

Our vision is to create pathways which enable students from diverse populations to explore careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
Mission
- Promoting STEM education beyond the Penn Campus by leveraging our location in the City of Philadelphia to partner with area schools, non-profits, industries, and government.
- Expanding and coordinating outreach activities across the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Engineering, and beyond.
